Oh, and I almost forgot - I'm looking for a decent speaker system to hook this bad-boy up to. Any suggestions?

I JUST bought this case, it is a monster and has cooling out the ass, it is awesome looking, but make sure you order a side fan to go with it because it doesnt come with one. i would suggest the 120mm thermal take blue led fan to compliment the case. its huge and HEAVY.

what are you looking to do with it. use it for music, games, movies, or all of the above.

All of the above, really. I'm not gonna be cranking it so it doesn't need to be very powerful.

Logitech X-540 would be good. one thing you should know is that most of logitechs speakers have hardwired controllers and usually hardwired speakers. dont know about their 5.1 systems tho

I have the Antec 1200. Very nice case with a lot of airflow. Not a LAN party case though. Lots of room. Doesn't look like a transformer or an alien.

Scratch that, I actually have a couple of questions before I order.

1) I think I might want to upgrade the mobo slightly, any suggestions on a model that would be a decent step up?

2) Wouldn't it be a good idea for me to get a DVD player/burner all-in-one? Why is it a good idea to separate them?

3)I think I want to get 12GB of RAM as opposed to 6, which one of these would be the best choice?

4) Is it worth it to look into doing water-cooling?

on the burner/player issue - you really don't need 2, but it's nice to have when you want to make dvd backups. you can do it with one drive, but you're doubling the time it takes. there's some decent software out there that can do disc to disc copies (costs about $40, but worth it to avoid all the other headaches). having read some of the reviews on the blu-ray reader, dvd-writers (run about $50-100 on newegg), it seems like a better idea to have a dvd-only recorder separate.

having done the self-contained water-cooler for my CPU (the corsair h50), I can definitely tell you that if you plan to do any overclocking, it's worth it. it won't be a max overclock with a self-contained unit, but good for a little bit of one. i have about a 10-15% overclock on my i5, but my idle temps are about 36c.

Perhaps... If it's worth the extra $50.

I would definitely upgrade to an X58/Socket 1366 motherboard. Look at the EVGA Classifieds.

You'll also need a 1366 CPU.
